Since May 2022, Shaffir Alikhan has served as Strategic Capabilities Planner in the U.S. European Command J8 Capabilities Division, where he has led Strategic Engagements and Commercial Integration efforts which culminated in the Command’s first Capability Development Exchange in Washington, D.C. earlier this year aimed at communicating EUCOM operational requirements with the development community and defense industry. Prior to his assignment at EUCOM, Shaffir served 21 years as an Army officer with experience in strategy development, security cooperation, theater missile defense, and theater logistics.
