Aissa Tovar is the deputy director of DPA Investments (DPAI) in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). She has more than 10 years of federal experience with her majority of her career spent within OSD Acquisition and Sustainment. At DPAI, she oversees investments in industrial development and production critical for protecting national security.

Prior to her current position, she was the chief of staff to the assistant secretary (ASD) for Industrial Base Policy as well as the deputy director of Industry Engagement where she served as the lead counselor to the ASD and spearheaded multiple engagements for the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense. Ms. Tovar has also served as a director of Legislative Affairs and special advisor of Human Capital Initiatives within A&S.
